The Stone Mason
The Stone Mason
The stone mason works with natural stone
As he chips away at each and every part
In his craft he never stands alone
For his work is considered a piece of art
His hands may be rough and fingers tips torn
Yet he shapes and molds stone like a clump of clay
His cloth’s may be shattered and long worn
But his work is of God’s guidance today
In years past stone mason’s worked the quarry’s
So they could for their family provide
In those days there were families that worried
For through the rocky mist many of the craft have died
So when you look upon the statue with awe
Remember, it was made by men of the craft
Who were dedicated to what they built and all you saw
Let the heritage of the Stone Mason be in your memory cast
