Heritage’s Honor Roll
Our city can be proud this day of praise
As we celebrate its heritage etched in stone
For their names are not forgotten of the oceans grave
To Gloucester’s youth this will now become known
How fitting it is that these tablets set at our shore
Surround our fisherman of Gloucester’s fame
For all those who come to honor and explore
Their heritage at birth from each of their names
We can vision the fishermen as they cast their nets
In the vast seas of waters that are far from tame
By this memorial we will never forget
For they are now immortalized in historic fame
Be proud of what you witness this day of Gods rest
For these fishermen did not die in vain
We give thanks to God in Jesus name
Those we honor today were Gloucester’s best
