Easter Reflections
In hopes of the day embodied with God’s embrace
Of a sky filled with variations of blue
Tiny clouds of white gently puffed
The vision of my soul to come true
The echo of the church bells filling the air
The seekers of light entering in
Ladies dressed as if they were in Vanity Fair
Families listening to the words of God within
Children after church running about in play
Searching for the brightly colored eggs
Loved ones embracing the reflection of the day
That Jesus arose from the dead
How fitting it is that we celebrate with our youth
In combination of reality and dreams
Was it not he that said ‘Let the children draw near”
This is what to me Easter Day means
Sharing together with our children this day
A time that will give them the real meaning of life
In the words of the bible and in our heart to stay
That he is the way to the promised new life
