Remembrance
At this time we reflect upon the past
In memory of many thoughts and deeds
Of those who have given Love that will last
Until this mortal earth we leave
For time is but a brittle thread in space
That we are given by our Creator to share
With all God’s creatures of God’s will and grace
And this earthly body to wear
Our memories are cast in our hearts
Of a year in time raged with pain
The thoughts of their courage will never part
It will be with us in our journey of life to remain
Upon placing these flowers at the graves
Give thanks to the Lord for their love
The heroism of both soldiers and citizens who gave
Abide with our Creator in his many Mansions above
